Early morning walks are my hearts favorite, and when you have two little treasure finders and a very low tide, the morning's quiet turns into a playful hunt.

We also had a really wild time on Anacapa Island, one of the Channel Islands off the coast of Cali. We took a too-long boat trip out to the Island on a perfect day, the sun had burned off the misty fog, the whales played just off the boat, and seagull chicks were hatching all around us (for real!).
